This is the 5th Book of the series, and to be honest I was not sure if I would like it as much as the other one's, since this was Shep's story, but it felt wrong somehow not to give it a try, and I am glad I did, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would recommend you read the books in order, just so you know what is going on with all the characters, the books at times run parallel to what had happening in another book or start up where the other one has left off. Plus its just such a great read that its well worth it. Its great that I discovered the series when it was already so well established, this way once I am done reading this book I can jump right to the next one without waiting. I have been waiting on Shep's story. He's always helping everyone else so I wanted to see him get a happy ending after years of doing for others. I didn't anticipate the MC taking his confession so badly though. I can't stand Beauregard.
I have to say I was wondering how an alternative lifestyle was going to play out in normally homophobic club setting. I thought the story was tragic in the way Shep kept trying to deny his feelings just because he was afraid of losing his mc family.
I have read a 'll so far in this series .I did not know how I would like this one given the subject matter. I don t ever remember reading a MC book dealingwith m/mbut I have to say I was pleasantly surprised because this did turn into a love story of two people not believing that they were good enough for each other to love.So if this type of story line does not bother you I would read it and enjoy it like any other MC book.Mimi
Yep...totally missed the warning. Read the synopsis and still didn't dawn on me until I started reading. Love all of her books just not into M/M. Hey, how can I pretend I'm in the story if theres no woman!?!? Stopped reading this one but won't prevent me from reading any of her others. If this is your thing, I'm sure you'll enjoy.
The Four Horsemen series drew me in with Ryker and the librarian. The series has covered some very tricky subjects with class and made them something the reader could relate to, even those with no experience in those areas.
This author has a great writing style and really creates characters you want to see get s happy ending. The fact they are bad a** bikers is just an extra benefit.
I had my doubts about this one. Not a fun of M-M stories, but was already in love with Shep...so I read it! It is one of the best of this series. Made me feel like like sh&$ because I realized this is about love, and Before starting the book I was thinking about gay sex scenes.
Truth, it is so well written....you enjoy the whole book.

I have fallen in Love with this series. I can't wait for the rest of this series. I bought this book and book #6 and I read them both in 1 day. I couldn't put the books down. This book is about Shep the VP of the Four Horsemen. He wants what he believes he shouldn't have, but he comes to the term of yes he does. If you like motorcycle clubs who do good. They are macho alpha males that I love. This is a stand alone book, but I would recommend to start at the beginning of this series so you get the stories behind some of the guys--Cap, Ryker, Cowboy and Duke. This author really gets you into the story, you root for them, you feel what they feel, you are immersed in their story, and their lives. This is an awesome author.
